Product Description Great product for teens as well as adults for education, discovery, work and fun.
This innovative microscope design allows you to view specimens or objects on a computer screen and allows you to take snapshot images or short videos. A rugged, metal stand is included for holding the microscope steady at various positions for viewing and/or imaging.
The microscope is ideally suited for examining objects such as coins, stamps, rocks, relics, insects, plants, gems, circuit boards, various materials, skin, and many other objects. Also, you can examine specimen slides at low and high powers.

Celestron Microscope is a Joke June 24, 2010 Kenneth A. Combs (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Celestron 44302 Handheld Digital Microscope
If you want a toy to show school children "Water Fleas" or the compound eye of a housefly then this product should be fine...otherwise the actual focusing controls are to rigid to be practical for macro photography of small objects...moreover the magnifying scale is to weak for anything on the "microscopic level, but might be semi-useful for bugs and such...On the plus side I would rate the material quality of the product and construction quality as excellent
Awesome! June 2, 2010 John J. Ialacci (Princeton, NJ) This little device is awesome!
For the price, you absolutely could not find a better product.
Great little instrument May 13, 2010 John Seymour (Milwaukee, WI United States) The microscope worked right out of the box. The software was easy to understand. The images look very good. And it's cool.
Excellent little digital microscope April 22, 2010 Engineer Bill (Silicon Valley, CA USA) This little microscope works great. It takes a few minutes of practice to figure out how to focus in the two different ranges of magnification range but the results are very clear, high quality pictures. One little tip to help during focusing is to maximize the view on your screen. For some reason that increases how rapidly the screen updates the image which makes focusing much easier. I've used this for several projects at work now and only wish I had bought it sooner.
Does not work with windows 98 as advertised April 19, 2010 K. Noom (Wheatridge, CO) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I planned to use an old computer strictly for the microscope and it is advertised as windows 98 compatible but it isn't and teck support from Celestron is none existent. I email them and received no response and sat on hold for 1hr20minutes and was never helped.
